IL Fiorello Donating 15% of Oil Sales to Solano Land Trust on Day of Charity
 

Fairfield-- IL Fiorello Olive Oil Company is celebrating the United Nation’s International Day of Charity by donating 15% of oil and balsamic sales to the Solano Land Trust on September 5th.

Both the Solano Land Trust and IL Fiorello have many shared values like conservation, connecting people to their land and the food that grows on that land, and community stewardship.

“Being an organic farm, we know the value of the land we farm on, and the land of our neighbors. That’s why we are big supporters of the Solano Land Trust. Good nutrition and access to the outdoors are keys to a healthy lifestyle,” said Ann Sievers, owner of IL Fiorello Olive Oil Company.

“Connecting people with the land is part of our mission, and it’s great to see businesses like IL Fiorello supporting this mission,” said Laura Livadas, Development Director of the Solano Land Trust.

Friday, September 5th is the International Day of Charity. 15% of all Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar purchased on that day will be donated to the Solano Land Trust so they can continue their mission of making sure people have access to the beautiful lands in our region. A representative from the Solano Land Trust will also be on-site at IL Fiorello to share more about their mission.

You can visit IL Fiorello at 2625 Makas Corner Road from 11:00-5:00 pm on that day to purchase oil to support the Land Trust, and enjoy olive oil tastings, lunch at their bistro, and gelato. Add a visit to one of the Solano Land Trust’s nearby properties to enjoy the outdoors and good nutrition.

Solano Land Trust was founded in 1986 as a result of open space advocates, land developers and a municipal government working together to benefit the whole community. Solano Land Trust's mission is to inspire a love of the land and preserve it for people, food, and the natural environment. Since 1986, the land trust has permanently protected over 25,000 acres of natural areas and agricultural lands in Solano County and has many community outreach programs, hikes, events, and more.

IL Fiorello is a family-owned company dedicated to growing and milling the finest quality artisan olive oils. Owners Ann and Mark Sievers produce oil from their own certified organic groves. They also grow organic foods that are served at the bistro and hold farm tours, olive oil tastings, and serve gelato. IL Fiorello is open every day from 11:00 am-5:00 pm.
